We're searching for the NEXT Director for K4J!
Community Covenant Church (CCC) is seeking an innovative and inspiring Director to lead our Kids 4 Jesus early childcare center. The director will work collaboratively with staff and leadership of CCC to oversee all functions of the daycare while helping to align with the mission and vision of Community Covenant Church to love God, love others, and make disciples.
Position responsibilities.
- Leadership: Inspire, lead and implement a program structure that supports a high quality early childhood learning environment while thinking systematically about how to maximize opportunities that may already exist
- Management: Recruit and manage a team of 15-20 staff members, including creating weekly schedules and ongoing adjustments to staffing based on capacity
- Relationship building: Grow positive relationships with staff, parents and pastors in order to provide the best possible environment for kids
- Professional development: Nurture a positive work environment where staff are relationally connected, valued, respected, and challenged to grow in their individual development and relationship with Christ
- Communication and organization: Serve as the primary contact and spokesperson for the organization to parents, the church and neighboring community
- Marketing and recruitment: Assume responsibility for student enrollment and staffing levels, implementing outreach campaigns as needed
- Financials: Accountable for the maintaining and building financial health of the ministry, including development of annual budgets and expense management
Role requirements.
- Follower of Jesus Christ and able to articulate what that means in your life
- Ability to lead in both classroom and administrative capacities, with frequent interactions with staff, parents, church members and neighbors
- Experience recruiting classroom staff
- Willingness to actively promote the center to increase enrollment
- Hours are generally 6:30am-6pm; it is expected that the director will be onsite for opening at least 2 days per week and closing 2 days per week to maximize time with families
- Significant experience in early childhood classroom and/or managerial experience in a childcare setting
- Candidates must be at least 25 years of age (insurance requirement)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 credit hours of child development or early childhood education (waiver potential based on experience)
- First Aid/CPR certification
- A background check will be required of all potential hires
