WEEK 6 // DAY 3

WHEN WE FORGET HIS FAITHFULNESS

Read Hosea 11:1-11

This image is deeply personal. God describes Himself like a father teaching a child to walk—steadying their steps, lifting them when they fall, guiding them forward with patience. Every step Israel took was supported by His care.

And yet, they did not realize it.

This is not just forgetfulness—it is a loss of awareness. God had been actively present in their story, but over time His faithfulness became background noise. What was once clearly seen as grace became assumed as normal.

This same pattern quietly shows up in your life. You wake up to provision you didn’t create, relationships you didn’t sustain on your own, and opportunities you didn’t orchestrate—and it’s easy to stop tracing those things back to God. What once stirred gratitude becomes routine. What once felt like a gift becomes expected.

When that happens, something deeper is lost. You don’t just lose gratitude—you lose sight of God’s heart. You begin to feel distant from Him, not because He moved, but because your awareness of His faithfulness faded.

Jesus invites you to remember. At the center of the gospel is an act of remembering—His body given, His blood poured out. He knows that remembering restores relationship. It reconnects you to the truth that God has been present, active, and faithful all along.

When you remember, your perspective shifts. Gratitude returns. Trust grows. And your heart begins to soften again toward Him.

Today is an invitation to slow down and notice. To trace your story back to the Father’s care. To recognize that He has been closer than you realized—carrying, guiding, and sustaining you every step of the way.
