WEEK 1 // DAY 5

BEHOLDING HIS GLORY

Read John 1:1-18

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[a] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

John says that we have “beheld His glory, full of grace and truth.” To behold Jesus’ glory means to truly see Him—not just with our eyes but with our hearts. It’s to recognize His divine beauty, His holiness, and His unfailing love. This is an invitation to daily worship and awe.

When we fix our eyes on Jesus, our fears shrink, our desires realign, and we are transformed from the inside out. Just as Moses longed to see God’s glory, we are called to behold the glory of Christ in all His unmatched beauty.

This is a lifelong journey—continually turning away from distractions and focusing on Jesus. As you behold Him, His presence changes your heart, renews your hope, and strengthens your faith.

Today, commit to a daily practice of beholding Jesus—through Scripture, prayer, worship, and reflection—and watch how His unmatched glory shapes your life.

Reflection Questions:

  • What does “beholding the glory of Jesus” look like in your life today?
  • What distractions tend to keep you from seeing Him clearly?
  • How does worship or prayer help you fix your eyes on His glory?
  • What changes in your heart when you focus on Jesus rather than your fears?

Journaling Prompt:

Set aside space today to simply gaze upon Jesus through words. Write out praises, attributes, or Scriptures that help you behold His beauty and glory. Let this time of journaling itself become an act of worship.

Prayer Starter:
Ask God to help you see Jesus more clearly and love Him more deeply each day.
