WEEK 7 // DAY 2

WORDS OF REPENTANCE

Read Hosea 14

As Easter approaches, repentance becomes more than a concept—it becomes a practice.

God tells His people to “take words.” He invites them to speak honestly, to come before Him without hiding. This is not about perfect language—it is about honest confession.

Repentance is not just feeling bad. It is naming what is true. It is bringing your real self before God and saying, “This is where I’ve wandered.”

But then something deeper happens. They begin to release what they trusted instead of God.

“Assyria cannot save us… we will never again say ‘Our gods’…”

This is the turning point. Repentance is not only about what you confess—it is about what you let go of.

As you move toward Easter, this is the invitation:

What have you been relying on instead of God?  What have you trusted to give you peace, identity, or control?

The cross exposes all of it. It shows that nothing else can save—not success, not control, not approval. Only Jesus can. And that is good news.

Because it means you don’t have to carry the weight of saving yourself.

Today is a moment to be honest. To name what is real. To release what cannot hold you.

Because grace is waiting on the other side of that honesty.
