WEEK 7 // DAY 1

RETURN BEFORE THE CROSS

Read Hosea 14

As we move toward Easter, this word becomes deeply personal: return.

This is not a general invitation—it is specific. God calls His people to come back to Him, not eventually, not when everything is fixed, but now. The cross is near, and before we celebrate resurrection, we are invited to face the reality of what led us away.

“Your sins have been your downfall.”

That is not condemnation—it is clarity. Sin is not just something that needs forgiveness; it is something that has shaped your life in ways you may not even fully see. It has distanced you, distracted you, and slowly pulled your heart away from the One who loves you.

But here is the hope of this season: the call to return means the door is still open.

You are not being told to fix yourself first. You are being invited to come back as you are. This is what makes the journey to Easter meaningful. The cross is not for those who stayed close—it is for those who wandered and are returning.

Jesus’ entire ministry echoes this call. “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” His invitation is not harsh—it is hopeful. Return is not punishment—it is restoration.

This week is not about striving—it is about turning.

Before the cross reminds you how deeply you are loved, this moment invites you to acknowledge how deeply you need that love.

Come back.
