Faith In Action – Week 1 Day 4
WEEK 1 // DAY 4
FAITH THAT ACTS WITH COURAGE
Read James 2:25, Joshua 2:4-11
Rahab’s story reminds us that faith isn’t reserved for the spiritually elite. She was an outsider—a Canaanite woman with a broken past—but she believed in the power and promise of Israel’s God. Her courage to act on that belief changed her life forever. She risked her safety to protect God’s people, and her faith became part of the lineage of Jesus Himself.
Rahab’s example shows that faith is not about perfection; it’s about trust that leads to action. God delights in using ordinary, imperfect people who are willing to believe Him enough to take a step of courage. Her story invites you to ask: What bold step of faith is God calling me to take?
Jesus honors that kind of faith. Throughout His ministry, He often said, “Your faith has made you well.” He wasn’t commending flawless lives but courageous trust. When you believe Him enough to move, even in small ways, you align your story with His redemptive work in the world.
Faith that acts with courage doesn’t ignore fear—it steps forward despite it. You may not know the outcome, but you know the One who holds it. Like Rahab, you can trust that your obedience today might be the seed of someone else’s salvation tomorrow.
Reflection Questions:
- What do you admire about Rahab’s faith?
- How does her courage challenge your view of who God can use?
- What step of faith might God be inviting you to take right now?
- How can trusting Jesus give you courage in uncertain moments?
Journaling Prompt:
Write about an area where you sense God calling you to take a step of courage. Describe how trusting Him in that area could make your faith more alive.
Ask Jesus to give you Rahab-like courage to trust Him even when it’s risky. Thank Him that He uses imperfect people to accomplish His perfect will.
