WEEK 2 // DAY 5

DOING GOOD TOGETHER

Read Galatians 6:1-10

Paul concludes with a call to action: “As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” This verse captures the heartbeat of life together in Christ. Our faith is not private; it expresses itself in tangible acts of good, directed first toward the church family and then overflowing to the world.

Doing good is not about random acts of kindness but intentional, Spirit-led love. It means being attentive to the opportunities God places before you each day. These opportunities may be small—a kind word, a meal shared, a prayer offered—or they may be significant, like sacrificially serving someone in deep need. What matters is faithfulness to act in love where God has placed you.

Paul highlights that we must especially care for the family of believers. This is not exclusionary but prioritizing. Just as you would naturally care for your household first, the church family deserves your special commitment. When the world sees believers loving one another deeply, it sees a glimpse of Jesus. From that place of unity and love, the church becomes a light that shines outward, blessing all people.

Doing good together is powerful because it magnifies impact. A single act of love is meaningful; a community committed to goodness transforms lives. Imagine a church where everyone intentionally sought to bless others. Needs would be met, loneliness would diminish, and the gospel would be displayed not only in words but in action.

Today, open your eyes to the opportunities God places in front of you. Look within your church family, your workplace, your neighborhood. Ask, “How can I do good here?” Together in Christ, our collective acts of goodness bear witness to a Savior who gave Himself for us.
