Summer in the Psalms – Week 2 Day 5
WEEK 2 // DAY 5
TWO WAYS
Read Psalm 1
“For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.”
Psalm 1 ends with a simple but sobering truth: there are two ways to live, and they lead to two very different outcomes. One way is watched over by the Lord. The other leads to destruction. The choice is not just moral—it’s relational. It’s about who you trust, who you follow, and where you plant your life.
The way of the righteous is not about perfection—it’s about direction. Righteousness is not earned; it’s given through faith in Christ. He walked the righteous path perfectly so we could be counted among the blessed. His Spirit now leads us in that same path, step by step.
As summer continues, let Psalm 1 be a filter through which you evaluate your priorities. What path are you on? Who are you becoming? God’s invitation is not to pressure, but to presence—to know His nearness, walk in His ways, and become like the tree planted by water.
Reflection Questions:
- What path does your current lifestyle suggest you are walking?
- How does grace shape your understanding of righteousness?
- What do you sense the Spirit saying to you through Psalm 1?
- Who in your life could you encourage to choose the way of life?
Journaling Prompt:
Reflect on what it means to “walk in the way of the righteous.” Write about one next step you can take this week.
Thank God for providing the way through Jesus. Ask the Spirit to help you walk with wisdom and intentionality today.
