Care Ministry Team

Buckets of Hope

Community Covenant Church members have been very generous in supporting a ministry to support young adults recently out of the foster care system. Buckets filled with cleaning supplies and tools are given through Truck Brigade. These supplies help these young people set up housekeeping and may be their first gift as they move into their homes. Your financial help is always appreciated! Consider supporting this ministry, each bucket is filled for just under $20. Checks may be written to Community Covenant Church with a memo line “Buckets of Hope”.

Ladies Breakfast Group

Ladies Breakfast Group meets on the third Monday of the month at various restaurants. Check the bulletin, website, or CCC email for location. All ladies are welcome; it’s a great way to get acquainted and enjoy wonderful fellowship!

Care Ministry Team

A leading insurance company has a motto:  “Good Hands People.”  The company advertisements show agents standing with hands outstretched, palms upward, indicating they will take care of you.  As a Care Team at Community Covenant Church, we too can extend love to people, showing compassion and care with outstretched hands, loving people the way Jesus loves each of us, overlooking imperfections, extending love the way Jesus did throughout scripture.

Members of this team will make hospital visits, coordinate meals for those in need, provide assistance at home to those having had surgery, send cards when needed, provide awareness of grief support, divorce or abuse group support gatherings, providing flowers or memorial gifts to members, work with Assimilation Team keeping track of those in attendance, crisis assistance.  Members continually discuss new ways of reaching out to congregants.

Would you consider joining the Care Team? Members commit to 1 year of involvement. We have an active group, meeting 3-4 times/year. We have a passion to care for people! If interested in visiting with us about becoming a member of the team, contact Chris McIvor or Reva Neal.

All women meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month for “Taco Tuesday”. We’ll be checking out the many excellent eateries around Omaha. Watch monthly for info!

As members of our church go through surgeries, illness, recoveries, etc. we have an active group of people who take meals to help through those times of healing and recovery. Please consider adding your name to this list of those who serve. If you don’t care to cook, you are welcome to take them carry out from one of Omaha’s many excellent restaurants! Contact Reva Neal if you’d like to be a part of this ministry.
